Why Choose Bob?
Today I went and looked at yet another tree job that an unlicensed,
uninsured rookie thought he could handle and failed. He fell a 100'
cottonwood through a neighbor’s house. If the tree had fallen in the
direction of the face cut it would have damaged the property of three
different yards. Now this customer has learned the hard way who not to hire.
The cheapest bid is rarely the best. Insurance should be a key factor in your
decision to hire a professional. Find contractors that are licensed and
insured for what work they perform and protect your assets, because you may
be the one responsible in the end. What happens when you hire the low
bidder who is uninsured and he drops a 30’ fir tree
through your living room? The money you thought you saved seems a little less important.
If an uninsured operator happens to damage utilities while on your
property, you can be held responsible. For example, while digging along some
fiber optics last summer, the phone company told me if I nicked the cables
they would send me a bill for $750,000. Without insurance and with charging so little for the job, there is a definite probability that the
operator will leave and the phone company will be sending the
customer that $750,000 bill.
